Product Description:
The Jutte is a weapon that was used by law enforcement officers during the Edo period in Japan.
It was designed to catch and snap off the blade of an opponent's sword. Historically, warriors held a jutte in one hand and a short sword in the other to maximize their combat effectiveness.
This particular jutte measures approximately 16 in. (1.10 lbs.) long and features a red cord wrapped handle and tassels.
* Unlike sai (a close cousion of this weapon), the jutte has a single prong and a blunt, flat point.
